    About Percy F. Westerman.
    He was a prolific childrens fiction writer and wrote several books with diving content and some have beautiful spines, dustjackets, covers and prints inside.

    The book follows Rob Wroxhall, asstant engineer to a sea salvage firm aptly called Findon and Rayse and his adventures raising various wrecks.  It has 32 chapters and 6 monochrome drawings, two of which are diving.

    Another juvenile story with lots of intrigue involving smugglers, boy scouts, top secret devices and of course diving, including a duel underwater between two “hard hat” divers.  Written in 25 chapters and there are 4 monochrome prints including the “divers duelling” frontispiece.

    Alan Brampton, the hero of the book,  builds his own aircraft which has much in common with the flight characteristics of an early helicopter. Without a licence or a certificate of airworthiness he decides to embark upon his maiden flight and ends with the inevitable crash!  The story takes the “hero” around the world and inevitably lots of diving involved.  Written in 36 chapters, the book has 4 monochrome illustrations, to of which are divers.

    Written in thirty-six chapters for juvenile reading. There are three naive monochrome plates plus the frontice, one of which is a diver. The DJ cover and spine have divers. The cover has three divers in what looks like a wreck, the one in the forground is lying on his front. The spine shows a diver being dressed, the helmet being put on by the attendant. [pt]
