It starts with various combinations of pumps, helmets and ancilliary equipment needed. Next a section for helmets, dresses, and all other individual items needed by a standard helmet diver. At the back of the catalogue, there are sections headed “Information for Divers” and “Deep Diving Experiments”. As you would expect with this sort of catalogues, it is extremely well illustrated with countless monochrome photographs. [pt] |

(MORSE) DIVING EQUIPMENT
Published by: Morse Diving Equipment Co., Inc., Boston, Mass, USA - 1948 Dimensions: 11.5 ins (29 cms) tall by 8.75 ins (22 cms) wide. Illustrated red card covers. The catalogue is divided into sections, starting with air pumps and complete outfits numbered 1, 1A, 2A, 3A and 17. The section continues with compressors and spares for diving pumps. It continues with a section containing helmets, both open and closed dress (including the Mk V), this too has a spares section. Following sections also includes suits, lamps, telephones, hoses, cables, boots, weights and other ancilliary equipment. This edition is published with pages that can be taken out by removing a metal binding clip. There are 42 numbered pages with a further two pages un-numbered that contains the "U S Navy Decompression Tables". This is followed by an index which is numbered as page 51 (single sided). There appears to be no pages missing as the index shows no number higher than page forty-two. [pt] |

Catalogue T – 1st English Edition Published by Dragerwerk, Lubeck, Germany September 1946 Card Covers – 85 printed pages Approximately A4 in dimensions, this German post war catalogue from Drager covers items for sale and an overview of items in their use. The catalogue is broken into 6 sections and in turn, each section is further sub-divided: Section 1 – Diving Apparatus: “Hoseless diving apparatus DN20 and DN40”, “Diving Apparatus with Hose”, “Divers Lever Pump”, “Dragers Divers Automat”, “Drager Air Compressing Plant” and “Separate Parts of Diving Apparatus”. Section 2 – Small Diving Apparatus: “Drager Small Diving Apparatus”, “Drager Light Diving Dress” and “Accessories”. Section 3 – Auxiliary Diving Appliances: “Drager Recompression Chamber for Divers”, “Drager Ground Rope Reel”, “Drager Divers Telescope”, “Divers Cable Lamp”, “Divers Search Light”, “Drager Divers Buoy” and “Dragers High Pressure Filling Pump”. Section 4 – Salvage Appliances: “Drager Rising Pontoons”. Section 5 – Something About Diving. Section 6 – Photos Showing Diving Apparatus in Use. This catalogue is extremely well illustrated which is very surprising as it was produced so soon after the second world war. There are many monochrome photographs not only illustrating items sold but those items in use. KIRKHAM VIXON
Mk 2 AND 2a OXY-HYDROGEN UNDERWATER CUTTING EQUIPMENT
Published by: P Kirkham & Son 16 printed pages plus a loose leaf price list. Dimensions: 20.5 cms tall by 14.5 cms wide This is a combined catalogue and condensed manual for the Kirkham Vixon Oxy-Hydrogen Underwater Cutting Equipment. The book starts with a full page photograph of the cutting torch and follows with two pages of parts details and part numbers. Then it goes into the manual "proper". It isn't divided into chapters, just paragraphs or sections: "Introduction", "Preperation", "Operation", "Description" and "Facts to be Noted and Remembered". There are six plates and line drawings to accompany the text. I am unsure of the date of this book but I think it is 1950's although the pricelist has the following note "P Kirkham's patented and designed SEAFIRE of 1945 has made possible the Kirkham Vixen Mk2".
